A long-time supporter of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance believes an investigator’s report into the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance could have far-reaching implications.
Philanthropist and author Andrew Faas is worried about how the report will affect job attraction in Chatham-Kent, both for doctors at the Health Alliance and the community at large.
“Health care is a huge deciding factor in terms of employers moving into the area, and jobs that could be not gained as a result of a concern regarding health care in the community,” Faas says.
But Faas hopes the report wont’ affect residents’ trust in their health care system. “As far as patient care is concerned, anyone that donates – and I consider a donation to a hospital or other institutions as an investment – and I believe their investment will pay off in spades. They have and will continue to have state of the art health care professionals.”
The Dresden-native says the staff are doing their best under what he calls very trying circumstances.
