Chatham-Kent’s hospital is welcoming three new physicians to the municipality.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has announced the addition of Dr. Anthony Piazza to the Emergency Medicine Department, Dr. Andrew Su is joining the Hospitalist program, and Dr. Wael Hasan is joining the Department of Surgery as an Otolaryngologist.
“We are so pleased to welcome Dr. Piazza, Dr. Su and Dr. Hasan to CKHA and the community of Chatham-Kent,” said Dr. Pervez Faruqi, the chief of staff at CKHA, in a news release. “Their skills, knowledge and contributions to our programs and services will be a great addition to CKHA and help us further our commitment to delivering Patient and Family Centred Care.”
Dr. Piazza, a Windsor native, completed medical school at Western University in London and recently completed his residency training with McMaster University.
Dr. Su earned a Bachelor of Science with Distinction from McGill University in 2015, before getting his Doctor of Medicine with Schulich School of Medicine at Western University. He completed his Family Medicine Residency in 2021 at Mount Sinai Hospital and an additional fellowship in Hospital Medicine with the University of Toronto.
Dr. Hasan graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland where he completed his residency training in head and neck surgery. He was also awarded a Master of Surgery Degree by the University College of Dublin and The National University of Ireland. He later moved to Canada to continue his clinical training at the University of Toronto.
