CKHA Launches Innovation Grants For Staff, Volunteers

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is looking to the future.

CEO Lori Marshall says they’ve set aside $50,000 for innovation grants.

“We’re asking our staff, physicians, volunteers, and Patient Advisors to identify ideas and innovations that we can implement that would make a difference to either our patients and families, or the quality of work life for the hospital,” explains Marshall.

The funding will be split up, with as many as 10 grants of up to $1000 for smaller ideas, and 4 grants of up to $10,000 for projects for programs and services.

“We’ll do a preliminary screening, and then a sub-group of our We Are CKHA team will come up with the winners. It will very much be like a peer-involved review in terms of determining where these dollars will be spent,” says Marshall.

Applicants will face a Dragons’ Den style review, with the successful projects announced in the New Year.
