As the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance prepares to restore urology services, plans are in the works to help raise money for much-needed equipment.
The CKHA Foundation is launching a new campaign, said to be the first charitable online 50-50 fundraiser in Southwestern Ontario.
Proceeds will help purchase a holmium laser for treatment of tumours and breaking down kidney stones, although officials say it can also be used in other departments as well.
50/50 tickets can be purchased online or at various events around the municipality, including the Sam Roberts concert at RetroFest.
The draw will be held June 27th.
