Chatham-Kent’s hospital is seeking a talented artist to paint a mural that will provide comfort and strength to victims and survivors of assault.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is calling on local artists interested in painting an 8.5 by 12-foot mural at the hospital’s Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence (SADV) Treatment Center.
The hospital is looking for an artist who has experience with large-scale murals, practices trauma-informed and inclusive art, and can create a mural that is appropriate for all ages, genders and races.
The chosen artist will receive a $1,000 award to cover materials and the artwork’s creation. The deadline for applications is August 30.
