CKHA Staff Satisfaction on the Rise

Local hospital officials want to make sure staff are happy with their work life.

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is surveying employees in different departments every four months, more frequently than other hospitals.

CEO Lori Marshall says one of the questions is about workplace culture.

“Back in 2016, the score we received from staff at that time was 57.7%,” Marshall explains. “So that means that 57.7% of staff would have given us a positive rating, or rate this hospital as a place to work.”

Marshall says  the most recent survey shows that more than 70.4% of staff rate the hospital as a positive place to work.

She says there is still work to be done, which will take time.
