Four new doctors are calling the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance home.
The new recruits include a psychiatrist, pediatrician, and two OB-GYNs.
Dr Jonathan Fairbairns is originally from Chatham and says he’s glad to be back.
“Since starting my medical training, I always knew that one day I wanted to return to serve my home community. I am grateful to have the opportunity to fulfill this long-term aspiration.”
Pediatrician Dr Manna Adegbite is now accepting patient referrals and is located at the Chatham-Kent Child and Adolescent Clinic, 202 King St. West in Chatham.
“After spending time as a Locum Physician at CKHA years ago, I knew it would be the right fit for me to come back and locate permanently in Chatham-Kent with my family,” said Dr. Adegbite. “I enjoy the community-feel of the hospital, its modern facilities and professional staff. I have felt very welcomed since arriving here.”
Two Obstetricians/Gynaecologists are joining the CKHA staff as well. Dr. Sandra Gregorovich was born in Buenos Aries and came to Canada in 2004.
“I instantly knew CKHA and the community of Chatham-Kent would be the right choice for me from the warm welcome I received,” said Dr. Gregorovich. “I enjoy the sense of community in the hospital and have loved getting to know the patients.”
Dr. Garvey Chilopora earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Malawi.
“Chatham-Kent seemed like the ideal place to re-locate with my family with its warmer climate and close proximity to major centres,” said Dr. Chilopora. “I’ve been welcomed with warmth and hospitality since arriving at CKHA. I’m looking forward to settling into the community.”
The hospital has recently ramped up its physician recruitment efforts, focusing on specialists to start.
