A local man has been arrested after trying to get in the way of a police investigation.
Chatham-Kent Police officers were in the process of arresting a suspect on Queen Street in Chatham when a bystander allegedly shouted at the officers and despite being cautioned not to interfere, threw an object at one of the offices, striking them in the arm and causing a minor injury.
The bystander fled on foot, but was tracked down and arrested.
The 28-year-old has since been charged with obstructing a peace officer and assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
