Local authorities are standing up against bullies in the community.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service has launched an anti-bullying campaign, aimed at raising awareness to combat bullying in schools.

Officials say the goal is to allow students to feel safe standing up for those being bullied and reporting any issues, and ensure everyone has a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment to learn and grow.

Authorities are encouraging local residents to take part in an anti-bullying contest on the CKPS Facebook page. The person with the most shares will win an exclusive, branded CKPS item. The contest deadline is February 17.
