A team of volunteers took to the water in Chatham this past weekend for a good cause.
The CK Paddle and Clean event was initially set to take place at the end of September but was postponed by high water levels.
In all, more than 1100 pounds of garbage and debris was pulled from the Thames River and McGregor Creek, including desk chairs, bikes, grocery carts, and even a kitchen sink.
Recyclables were sorted and the garbage hauled away by Waste Connections of Canada.
