The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is moving another element of health care into the digital age.
The newly-released CoHealth app has discharge information for patients, such as rest time, exercises, and other after-care details.
Betty Oldershaw, the Clinical Informatics and Transformation Lead at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, says you can also put your medication info into the app as well.
But she says this won’t be replacing the paper versions that patients are used to.
“It has their physician’s information, it has what to do when they go home, it has signs and symptoms they should look out for, that’s all on on paper,” Oldershaw explains. “This is just another tool to help with discharge information for patients.”
Oldershaw says any information you put into the app is as secure as your mobile device.
