Chatham-Kent Police are asking motorists to avoid the intersection of Richmond and Lacroix in Chatham this morning. 
Shortly before 8 o’clock, officers were responding to a collision involving a pedestrian when a police cruiser was struck by a passing motorist.
Emergency crews remain on the scene.
