It almost reads like a scene from a movie.
Police were called to Park Avenue West in Chatham Tuesday morning where a man allegedly walked into the road and stopped in front of a cement truck, forcing the driver to slam on his brakes. The driver pulled into a nearby parking lot and confronted the suspect, who spat in the driver’s face.
Police say the accused walked away and punched another person standing nearby, and when officers arrived, the suspect allegedly reached into the cruiser and tried to grab a taser.
The 34-year-old is facing charges of obstructing police, assaulting police, attempting to disarm a police officer, and two counts of assault.
