Community Foundation & South Kent Wind Spring Grants Announced

$325,000 in funding is being divided between 33 groups in Chatham-Kent.

The non-profits and charities are the recipients of the CK Community Foundation and South Kent Wind Community Fund spring round of grants.

The Chatham Kent Community Foundation is a broad-based, volunteer-driven, philanthropic organization creating, preserving and growing perpetual funds to help donors to have an everlasting impact on the development of the community through grants to registered charitable organizations.

The South Kent Wind Community Fund is a donor-advised fund within the Chatham Kent Community Foundation that was created by South Kent Wind LP, a wind power facility owned by Pattern Energy Group  and Samsung Renewable Energy, together with the Chatham Kent Community Foundation. The Fund began with an initial donation of $1 million in the spring of 2013, and over the next 20 years South Kent Wind LP will contribute another $10 million to that Fund.
