Community Living Dealing With 10 Total COVID Cases In C-K

Community Living organizations across Chatham-Kent are reporting ten of the total 19 current confirmed COVID-19 cases across the municipality.
Community-Living Chatham-Kent (in Chatham) had previously confirmed positive tests among three employees and two clients. The two clients who are supported by Community Living Chatham-Kent have since recovered.
On Friday, Community Living Wallaceburg confirmed five employees have tested positive.
As of Saturday morning, more than half of the confirmed cases in Chatham-Kent are connected to Community Living organizations, and eight of the ten cases among employees.
Community Living Wallaceburg Executive Director Deborah Hook says they continue to take all protocols and practices very seriously and are monitoring all employees and clients for any changes in health.
“Our employees are extremely committed to the people they support and they job they are doing,” adds Hook.
C-K Public Health has recently suggested accelerated testing for local Community Living organizations.
