Community Setting COVID Outbreak Declared in CK

Officials at Chatham-Kent Public Health have another COVID outbreak on their hands.

Two cases have been linked in what’s described as community setting, although no other specifics have been released at this point.

A workplace outbreak first announced on November 5th has been declared over, and the outbreak at Chatham Christian High School has been cleared with a total of three cases since October 30th.

There are still two ongoing school-based outbreaks with three cases each at Chatham Christian Elementary and Tilbury Area Pubic School.

Overall, the number of active cases of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent is holding steady at 48 with eight new infections and eight cases resolved.
