Spokesman Dave Babbitt says they’re trying to boost their numbers for the feeder program.
“That was one of the big goals here I think everything, businesses, service clubs, everything. it’s all about succession planning. We have to look long term, we’re going great guns right now , but who is going to fill their shoes down the line?” says Babbitt. ‘That’s the big question, if we don’t have a program to train people because it doesn’t exist at the school anymore, we’re not going to have a pool of people to draw from to keep this going.”
The Concert Band is looking for anyone who might be interested in learning to play, regardless of age.
The band has been dealing with a number of challenges lately, having to find new instruments and a new rehearsal space, but Babbitt says they’ve managed to land on their feet and now call the Wallaceburg Community Fellowship Church home.
