Motorists in Chatham may face some slowdowns for the next few months with construction on a section of Grand Avenue East.
Municipal officials say there will be lane closures both east and westbound between Taylor Avenue and Van Allen Avenue .There will also be a partial lane shift on Taylor Avenue approaching the intersection with Grand.
Officials say there will be posted lane closure signs, and drivers are warned to expect minor delays.
The work is expected to wrap up by 6 p.m. on Friday, September 26.
