Construction Prep Work at the Wallaceburg Hospital This Week

Visitors to the emergency department in Wallaceburg may notice some unusual activity this week.

Officials with the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance say some temporary walls have been put up in preparation to connect the new power plant at to the main hospital building.

An air handler is being installed on the roof this spring and some modifications will need to be made to the duct work and plumbing to prepare for that.

Crews are expected to be on site at the hospital for about a week at most, and the work is not expected to interfere with the usual operation of the emergency department.
