Coronavirus Confirmed In London, Ontario

The third case of the Coronavirus in Ontario has been confirmed and it hits close to home.

A London woman in her 20s has been “confirmed by health officials” as the latest case of the virus declared as a global emergency by the World Health Organization.

The patient reportedly returned on a flight from Wuhan, China to Toronto and continued to London in a private vehicle.

Media reports indicate she visited the hospital the day after returning when she began to experience symptoms.

She originally tested negative but additional testing proved otherwise.

Officials in the case say the woman has had limited exposure to others since returning from China and has since fully recovered within two to three days. Officials remind residents that the risk to those in Ontario remains low.

Symptoms may take about two weeks to show and are similar to the flu.
