Coronavirus Scammers Surface in CK

Chatham-Kent Police are urging area residents to be on their guard after reports of a a coronavirus scam making the rounds.

Authorities say a Wallaceburg woman got a call from someone saying they were coming to her home to test her for the virus.

Police and CK Public Health would like to remind everyone there is no door-to-door COVID-19 testing being done in our community, and if you happen to receive a similar call do not give them any personal or medical information.

If someone shows up at your door offering to do a COVID-19 test, do not let them in and if they refuse to leave, call police at 519-352-1234 x9.
