Chatham-Kent council will meet up this afternoon as they take a tour of various locations in the southern part of the municipality.

The meeting is considered closed session and is not open to the public.

The meeting will include education and training of the councillors, which falls under one of the exceptions why a meeting is allowed to be held in a closed session.

Meantime, council members and other municipal officials will be meeting at the Chatham Cultural Centre on Tuesday for a strategic planning session, discussing the municipality’s strengths and weaknesses and top priorities moving forward.

No public deputations will be allowed at the meeting, and a report on the session’s outcomes will be presented to council at a future date.
