Council Weighs In On the Plowing Match.

Wallaceburg resident Krystal Gyuricza addresses Chatham-Kent Council.

Chatham-Kent council will receive an update on the preparations being made for the 2018 International Plowing Match at Monday nights meeting. The event, set for September in Pain Court requires a lot of work and input from the Municipality including several departments. For example the PUC is helping with any water emergencies that may arise. Water connections fall to Infrastructure and Engineering, and the Public Health Department is focused on the grounds. Everything from dealing with large crowds gathered together to the hundreds of food vendors who will be handing out those tasty treats. This is update number 2 for council on the preparations.
