COVID Cases Rise to 18 in CK

A jump in Chatham-Kent’s COVID numbers today.

Public Health is reporting eight new cases and just one recovery, raising the total active caseload to 18.

Of those 18, officials say 9 are linked to close contact with a positive case, five remain under investigation, two are travel related, and two are unknown.

The Ministry of Health says 111 people are being treated for COVID-19 in ICUs province-wide. Of those patients, all but three are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

There are 510 new cases across Ontario, 368 are unvaccinated and 57 have received one shot.
