A Chatham woman is facing impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 401.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to the crash in the westbound lanes of the highway in London at around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, after receiving reports that the vehicle had entered the ditch near Highway 402.
Believing the driver had consumed alcohol, police took her into custody.
A 23-year-old Chatham woman is now charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. She has since been released from custody and will answer the charges in court later this month.
