A Ridgetown woman has been released from hospital following a serious single-vehicle crash near Merlin.

The 24-year-old was airlifted to hospital in London in serious condition after she lost control of her car on Talbot Trail Saturday afternoon.

Two passengers, including a child, were taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and released.

Police now say both the female driver and her adult passenger weren’t wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The driver is facing several charges, including careless driving, improper tires, and failing to properly wear a seat belt.
