Crawford Takes on Interim CK Fire Chief Role

Bob Crawford, former Chatham-Kent Fire Chief, is stepping into the position of Chatham-Kent Fire, Paramedic and EMS Chief while the municipality replaces Ken Steubing.

Steubing, who held the role from 2013 until last Friday, is now the Fire Chief for the regional municipality of Halifax.

Crawford, who is currently the municipality’s General Manager of Community Development, was CK’s Fire Chief for more than a decade before Steubing took over the role.

There is no firm deadline for Steubing’s replacement. Crawford will remain in the position until a replacement is found.
