A call for artists has been issued with plans to spruce up the streets of Ridgetown.
In partnership with the Ridgetown BIA, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent is looking for artists to create work to be displayed on five concrete planters and benches along Main Street, celebrating the heritage and history of Ridgetown.
The work must consist of original designs, be public friendly, deter graffiti, and can be created in any medium as long as it can be digitally formatted, durable, and adhere to the planters.
The selected artist will receive $3000 to create art for all five benches with 25% to be paid upon selection and signed contract; 25% at the halfway mark of the project and remaining 50% to be paid upon receipt of final digital files and signed reproduction agreement.
All funding for this project comes through the Council Ward Funding initiative.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 27. CLICK HERE to find the application form.
