Chatham-Kent fire fighters are being credited with saving a home after a garage fire.
Crews from Stations 1 and 2 were called to a West Street property near Richmond just after 5 Monday evening.
“Crews quickly extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading,” Chief Chris Case says. “The fast work by firefighters saved this home and neighbouring homes.”
No injuries have been reported and damage was limited to just $5000. Officials say the amount of property saved is estimated at $350,000.
