A $250,000 donation from the Sertoma Foundation of Canada will go a long way to building and equipping a new facility for the Chatham-Kent Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation.
CTC-CK Executive Director Donna Litwin-Makey says it’s just a matter of time before they get some provincial money.
“Our community advocacy awareness profile helps us get the funding faster,” Litwin-Makey says. “But it’s the final competition for what dollars get released in which budget, so that’s where we’re pushing hard, but we don’t have the date yet.”
The new building has a price tag north of $22-million, and will be located on McNaughton Avenue West, across from St Clair College.
Do date, the community fundraising campaign has surpassed $2.7 million.
