The party purchasing the old D.A. Gordon school in Wallaceburg hasn’t backed out of the deal, but needs more time. The deal was supposed to close Aug. 25th but the buyer has asked for a two month extension.
Brian McKay, the Superintendant of Business for the Lambton-Kent District School Board isn’t that concerned at all.
“Everything is on track, there is a two month extension, until October 30th, but everything is on track.”
Wallaceburg residents have expressed concern that if the sale doesn’t go through the building could fall into further disrepair.
