½ C. melted shortening
1 C. sugar
3 sqs. melted chocolate
2 eggs
½ C. milk
2 1/3 C. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
¼ tsp. salt
Preheat oven 350°. Mix sugar and shortening. Add melted chocolate and eggs. Add milk alternaltely with sifted dry ingredients. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake 350° 10 minutes. Cool. Spread filling between two cookies.
FILLING:
4 heaping T. flour
1 C. milk
½ C. butter
1 C. vegetable shortening
Cook flour and milk until thick. Cool. Cream butter and shortening. Add the cooled flour-milk mixture to the creamed butter and sugar. Beat with mixer until very creamy.
