Dawson Named New United Way Campaign Chair

The United Way of Chatham-Kent has a new Campaign Chair.

Caterina Dawson is a former United Way co-op student, and she that experience will help her in her new role.

“They’ve had me do different hings. I’ve gone to a few events and conferences and those were really fun. It’s a lot of sitting and listening and starting conversations with people you don’t know, but that’s how you learn as much as you do,” says Dawson. “I’m excited to get to know everyone on the team, I’m excited to bring all of my ideas and excitement and everything that I can”

Dawson is taking over for Helen Heath, who served as Campaign Chair for the past 22 years.

Dawson says she has a few goals for the upcoming campaign.

“I’d like to see as many people as last year get helped, even more if possible. I really love the thought of being able to help people. When i was offered the position at United Way, I mean – I actually asked for it – but as soon as I got there and I realized how much they actually hep, I thought that being a part of something this big and being able to help people would be fantastic,” Dawson says.
