Chatham-Kent Police are searching for a man who assaulted a stranger on Tuesday.
According to police the victim was walking on Wellington St. around noon when he was approached.
The suspect demanded cash and when the 53-year-old refused, a scuffle broke out and the victim suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 5’9” – 5’11”, wearing a dark blue winter coat with grey or brown fur around the hood, a blue sweater, blue winter toque, and black shoes.
He ran off and was last seen heading southbound on Raleigh Street.
