Daylight Saving Time Returns This Weekend

It’s almost time to spring forward once again.

Daylight Saving Time starts at 2 o’clock Sunday morning as we set our clocks ahead one hour.

Fire officials say the time change also serves as a reminder to change the batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in your home.

Daylight Saving Time runs until November 1, when we set the clocks back an hour and revert to Standard Time.

Earlier this week, British Columbia announced it would be moving to permanent DST, changing the clocks one last time this weekend and not shifting back to Standard Time in the fall.

Ontario passed the Time Amendment Act in 2020 to make Daylight Saving Time permanent, however the province still needs both Quebec and New York state to be on board.
