Chatham-Kent police are just now releasing details of the events that occurred early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a call about a family dispute and determined the man inside had a loaded rifle and was arguing with three people.
The Community Patrol and Critical Incident Response Team contained the residence and with the help of a negotiator talked the man into surrendering peacefully about 3 am.
Inside the home police found 3 more firearms and ammunition.
The man has been charged with uttering threats, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purposes and two counts of pointing a firearm.
He has been remanded into custody pending a future court date of February 24, 2021.
