
A Dover Township teen and a Chatham man are both fighting for their lives in hospital following two separate collisions involving dirt bikes.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to he intersection of St. George Street and Lindsey Road in Dresden at around 6:30 p.m. on September 19 after an SUV collided with a dirt bike.
The 15-year-old youth from Dover Township was rushed to a local hospital before being transferred to London Health Sciences Centre with life-threatening injuries. The 58-year-old Wallaceburg man driving the SUV was uninjured.
Then on the same day, at around 8:15 p.m., police were called to another collision in the Enbridge property on Kiel Drive in Chatham.
According to authorities, a 32-year-old Chatham man was riding a dirt bike in the parking lot when he lost control and was thrown from the vehicle.
The man was rushed to the hospital in Chatham before being transferred to the Windsor Regional Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
