The search is on for a dog that bit a 49-year-old Chatham man Thursday night. 
Chatham-Kent Animal Control responded after the man had a nasty run in with the dog that left bite marks on the mans right forearm and left calf.
He told authorities he didn’t know the medium-sized pure black pit bull-type animal that approached him around 6:30 in the area near Princess and Murray.
The dog was last seen running East on Murray.
