A Wallaceburg man is facing charges following an early morning disturbance.
Chatham-Kent Police were called to a James Street home just after 1:30 this morning and say officers stopped a man who was walking away from the home.
According to investigators, the man was intoxicated and had been arguing with a woman in the home. The dispute turned violent and the man allegedly grabbed and pulled the woman, causing her to fall to the floor. Police say the couple’s teenage son intervened when the man gestured he would assault the woman.
The 44-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault. He was released with conditions and a date in court next month.
