A Chatham woman found herself in trouble with police after a domestic dispute allegedly ended with her punching a man in the face.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the dispute on Landings Pass at around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Authorities say an argument between a man and a woman escalated when the woman allegedly struck the man in the face.

The 34-year-old accused is now charged with assault. She has been released from custody with a date in court next month.
