Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 36-year-old Charing Cross man following a domestic dispute New Year’s day.
According to police the man and woman had ended their relationship in the middle of last year, but the man had yet to find a place of his own and move out.
Allegedly, the pair got into an argument over a large knife and he threatened her with it. Culminating in him throwing the more than foot long blade at her.
The woman attempted to call police, a struggle ensued and she was hit in the face.
She managed to escape and called police.
The man is facing assault and weapons charges.
