The Ridgetown Campus of the University of Guelph is getting closer to funding its Ontario Sustainable Crop Research and Innovation Centre.
PRIDE Seeds recently donated $150,000 to the Centre which Campus Director Ken McEwan says will go towards crop research.
“The Ontario Sustainable Research project will enhance our research capacity,” McEwan says. “It will get the get the strategic leadership that we need to take in order to research in the environment, agriculture, food, and rural communities that we serve.”
The Campus has raised nearly $3 million towards its goal of $15 million.
