Fundraising organizers are celebrating having raised nearly $200,000 through a donation-matching campaign in support of Chatham-Kent’s hospital.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation received nearly 500 donations throughout their March Matchness campaign, totalling $94,402. Long-time healthcare champions Bob and Robin Hockney committed an additional $100,000 in matching funds, bringing the campaign’s total impact to an incredible $194,402.
“Bob and Robin’s leadership created a powerful opportunity for people to give, and our community responded in an incredible way,” said CKHAF President and CEO Christine Mitchell in a news release. “The momentum we saw throughout March speaks volumes about the generosity and compassion that exists here in Chatham-Kent.”
All funds raised will support enhanced mammography services at CKHA’s Chatham site and the Our Hospital, Our Future Wallaceburg Redevelopment Campaign.
Several community groups and organizations provided contributions throughout the March fundraiser, including a $10,000 gift from 100 Women Who Care Chatham-Kent and a $5,000 contribution from the CKHA Helping Hands Auxiliary.
