Donna’s Mahogany Roast Chicken

Give your roast chicken a deep amber glaze by brushing it with a simple mix of balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, and dry vermouth.

1 chicken (3 ½ pounds)

¾ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoons coarsely ground black pepper

2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

 2 tablespoons dry vermouth
