Dozens Of Charges Laid In Stolen Property Bust

Three people are facing a combined total of 86 charges following a major stolen property investigation in Petrolia.

The Ontario Provincial Police said officers arrested the trio on October 25, following the investigation that led to the seizure of 19 stolen trailers and a utility terrain vehicle.

The total value of the stolen property is estimated at around $240,000.

The accused have been charged with 27 counts of trafficking stolen goods over $5,000, 14 counts of using forged documents, 14 counts of making forged documents, 15 counts of destroying a vehicle’s identification number, and 16 counts of fraudulent concealment.

The identities of the suspects have not been released to protect the integrity of the investigation. All three have been released with future court dates.
