Dr. Runs Afoul Of College

Dr. Julie Lee Clowater of Chatham is facing a three month suspension from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario due to practicing with a suspended certificate and without professional liability coverage.

In a release on the college’s website, the college says Clowater was suspended for about a month in 2011 due to fee non-payment and continued her pediatrics practice during that time.

If Clowater wants to continue practicing medicine, she’ll need to complete a course in medical ethics and pay a fine of $5,000.
