Home care and community support services in the region are getting a boost thanks to a recent fundraising campaign.
The second annual “Drive for VON” event took place from May 21-26 across Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, and Windsor-Essex.
The fundraiser saw 14 vehicle dealerships provide a donation to VON Erie St. Clair for every vehicle sold during the campaign.
A total of $14,200 was raised which will go towards VON programs and services in local communities.
“The funds raised will support critical local programs and services to help clients stay healthy, live well and remain active,” said Melissa Landry, the fund development manager for VON Erie St. Clair, in a news release.
VON is a highly trusted charity that delivers home care and community support services to more than 10,000 people in Ontario and Nova Scotia every day.
