Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Shed

Impaired driving charges have been laid following a single-vehicle collision in Dover Township.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a vehicle was seen travelling east on Pain Court Line shortly after 7 p.m. on Sunday. The vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at Bear Line Road and continued onto a property where the vehicle crashed through a shed.

The collision caused significant damage to both the building and the equipment inside.

Officers responded to the scene and arrested the driver. A 21-year-old Sarnia man is now charged with impaired driving, refusing to provide a breath sample, and several Highway Traffic Act offences. He was later released with a court date late this month.
