A local man is facing an impaired driving charge after a pick-up truck was seen driving erratically in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said the vehicle was reported to officers shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday after it was seen travelling east on Bluewater Line.
The vehicle reportedly was driving in the middle of the road and drastically changing speed. The driver then reportedly parked the vehicle in the middle of the road.
Officers responded to the area and arrested the driver, believing he was under the influence of alcohol.
The 55-year-old Chatham Township man was taken to police headquarters for tests and is now charged with having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He has since been released from custody with conditions and a future court date.
