A lead-footed driver won’t be getting behind the wheel of a vehicle anytime soon after being pulled over by police on Highway 401.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers patrolling the highway in Lakeshore clocked a vehicle travelling 175 km/h in a posted 110 km/h zone shortly before 2 p.m. on Friday.
As a result, a 24-year-old Mississauga resident has been charged with stunt driving.
The accused was also issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension and their vehicle will be impounded for 14 days.
